Those who have the need for religious counselling or a confession or a pastoral talk are always welcome in the monastery of Mariastein. The Benedictines have an open ear, an open heart and an open mind. During the opening hours of the porter’s desk, the porter provides a contact between the guest and the confreres, and makes them both conversation partners from monk to human person, but above all from person to person.
The monastery is often asked for help in economic and social emergency situations - in consultation with state and church authorities, we are looking for help and solutions.
People with the desire for regular talks will on request be assisted by selected fathers as spiritual companions.
